The ride to Costa Rica to meet our lovely brides was relatively uneventful, only having to empty our boxes once. Speed bumps and pot holes were constant, but so were smiling faces and people looking at our bikes and asking us about our adventure. Borders were another story, with few language skills and lots of 'helpers' we were often exhausted when we were finished. Spending almost 6 weeks in Costa Rica is relaxing, but ...
Costa Rica is very familiar to Derek and I. We have both ridden here before as well as been here with Jane and Heather. Boogie boarding, walking, taking pictures, are daily activities. Jane is doing yoga and I've been doing some photography as usual. More to come soon on that front.
I hope you enjoy looking at where we have been! We leave Panama on March 5th aboard the Wild Card, a sailboat, http://wildcardsailing.com check it out!
otra aventura de la vida
This page will chronicle our adventures on our BMW's from Daytona Beach in Florida to as far south as we can ride in South America.
Well we have been in stall mode since arriving on the South American continent. Derek's bike refused to start when we go off the boat. Towed it to the hostel, trucked it to Barranquilla, BMW finally diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. We are hoping it comes in on Friday! He still has to do all his paperwork, so hopefully we can get everything done quickly and start the adventure again. Over a week behind what we'd planned, but then again we don't really have any plans, so life is good!
